Northern Virginia

I’m going to Northern Virginia in July around the DC area for about a week and a half. Fairfax county/ Prince William county. Will be staying in Chantilly. I would like to get a couple lifer copperhead pictures while I’m there. Are they fairly common in northern Virginia or have they been persecuted like the Timber Rattlesnake? I was thinking down by the Potomac would be a good start. Any suggestions?
