Arizona Part 1.

Post by Jeremy Wright »

I've been lucky enough to have scheduled 2 trips to Southern Arizona this summer, the first of which I have just completed as of a week ago. The scenery and landscape never fail to amaze me.
Here are some finds from my first trip.
Monsoon season in Southern Arizona means lots of incredible clouds and fascinating insects.

And obviously, some of the coolest Reptiles and Amphibians in the US in my opinion.

Once I complete my second trip I'll put together a more thorough post with dialogue and some entertaining stories.
Happy herping,

Also, I've been confused with the patchnose and the various subspecies that overlap. If my id is incorrect, please help me sort it out! It was found at ~5000 feet in Santa Cruz county.

Amazing shots of a beautiful area. Great finds as well. Love the Micruroides--one of the more unpredictable finds (for me at least).

Sweet post, Jeremy!
The landscape and macro shots at the beginning are amazing. You found some pretty awesome herps that make me very jealous. Looking forward to more.

The patchnose is a Big Bend. Mountains have a single, wide black stripe on each side:
