Urgent Photo Request (UPDATE: Case Closed!)

Post by chris_mcmartin »

I am looking for photos I can use in the upcoming SWCHR 2015 Reptile and Amphibian Public Opinion Survey...I've been working on it for several months and hope to go live with this on Saturday. If you wouldn't mind having one of your photos used in a survey potentially taken by thousands of people, please SEND THEM TO ME (do NOT post them here--it's part of the survey questioning process!) at chris.mcmartin (at) yahoo.com.

A milk snake (Lampropeltis triangulum) from the northeastern US
A long-nosed snake (Rhinocheilus lecontei); preferably with red in its pattern
A diamond-backed water snake (Nerodia rhombifer)
A juvenile five-lined skink (Plestiodon fasciatus)
A banded gecko (Coleonyx variegatus)
A Texas horned lizard (Phrynosoma cornutum)
A Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum)

NOTE: Please do not include any watermark or other feature identifying you as the photographer. I have my reasons, so if you are uncomfortable remaining uncredited (until the final survey report), please refrain from submission. I have photos of my own of some of these species, but I'm hoping y'all have much better ones than I am capable of. 8-)

Thank you in advance.

Maybe you should edit this to be entirely caps and repeat it a few times to drive the point home.

Sent two Diamondback Watersnake pics just now. I have pics of a Longnose Snake, but none of them are really that great. You can tell what it is, but the subject is never shown in its entirety.

No offense, folks, but please re-read the original post. If you post one HERE rather than emailing me privately, I can't use it!

When you take the survey, you will understand why. :thumb:

Does picture need to be "in situ" or ok with being held in one's hand?

No humans can be in the photo. That's part of the problem with me using many of my own shots. :thumb:

The only one remaining that I need is a Gila monster. It doesn't have to be the best-ever shot; I personally don't have ANY photos of them as I've never found one.

Surely SOMEBODY has a shot they'd be willing to offer--any shot should do. I can't give credit on the survey itself, but will do so in the analysis report.
