And how did you ever manage to spot it against the terrain? As beautiful as it is in hand, it looks to have been quite cryptically colored in situ.

I only saw it because it moved. In this locality there aren't many large rocks. So many of them are using Desert Iguana burrows. Most of the ones I see are dark.
