So, I basically spent the weekend sleeping because I couldn't be arsed to do anything else. I've barely been outdoors since the end of January, as we've had two blizzards with a couple of snowstorms in between and there is no place to go in Boston. It's gray, it's cold, and I'm very vitamin D deprived.
Spring will come, won't it? Please? Could you please show me pretty reminders of what I'll see in spring?
Thank you!

I'm just going to keep adding to it, this is therapeutic for me too. Negative 4 degrees tonight, yeah buddy!

I agree! Those posts are very therapeutic. It's hard to imagine Spring is nearby, but slight signs are optimistic. There's been some cool "Herps with Wings" about however.

The first jeff movements in Indiana of last year were happening about a year ago...but as of now it looks like we will have a late migration over here as well.

I don't have any pictures to contribute at the moment but something I plan on doing soon is take pictures of my herping spots completely covered in snow so I can compare it to a contrasting summer pic later.
My god...now that I've written that down, it sounds incredibly boring.

I have some photos like that. Maybe it is incredibly boring to some, but it doesn't stop me from doing it.Kyle from Carolina wrote:I don't have any pictures to contribute at the moment but something I plan on doing soon is take pictures of my herping spots completely covered in snow so I can compare it to a contrasting summer pic later.

Mc herper, you made my day w the bloodroot shot! So anxiously awaiting the snow to melt so they will pop open in my yard. Cute milk, pg county?
I grew up in Montgomery county on the dc line. Milks were an obsession during my teen years

Glad to hear that I made your day! I am happy that someone appreciated it.pete wrote:Mc herper, you made my day w the bloodroot shot! So anxiously awaiting the snow to melt so they will pop open in my yard. Cute milk, pg county?

The milk was from Somerset County, New Jersey, and was my first milk. I owe many thanks to the only herper who I met on this forum who was willing to take me ( a new herper on this forum) into the field to see it!
I can see why milks can become an obsession. They are strikingly beautiful and very interesting.

He wasn't happy; we interrupted he and his mate.
This was also my first-ever racer bite. Go big or go home! I did get one on my fingertip, however, which hurt much, much more.
