Whoa, that's a lot of information to digest!
Here's a quick observation: San Diego County is the place to find snakes, with more than twice the number of records than any other County

Mono Lutosus 10
The rest of CA 0
Mono is kickin' gluteus
My goals for the year.....again....Mono sidewinder..........Inyo lutosus................
Maybe I'll just spend all my time recording zebratails until Mono is the Callisaurus capitol of the state
Is there a species number (diversity) by county button/link?

I thought I'd drag this up again. A great link to see where we need work.
Does anybody have a bunch of time to rank the counties by number of species?

I can help, Matt.
As for the Zebra-tails, you're on, brother Nightdriver. San Bernardino County rules for Callisaurus. haha.

That is a cool list Brian. Do you think you can put it in the sticky with the other lists? This way it will be easy to find later.
Thanks

Jim, "Thank You" Can you please have them update their email address in the www.naherp.com profile. (I think they have old emails which is why they dont reply)
This is extremely important, because I am about to submit the CDFW request for all or California's records.

Re: Hey Everyone check this link out County by County Recor
Ha, I think you'll see old comments by me on a lot of those old-subspecies records.
It's nice to ask people to change, but not everyone wants to. I think it would be great to incorporate a database system whereby certain old names are automatically placed onto the new taxa. We would even have to overwrite the name that they want to use in the database, just write "(now known as "Lithobates danksteri")" or something like that next to it.

Hey, for those interested in hitting eastern/northern Mojave areas, don't forget us Vegasites- there is great interest here in the Mono-Inyo-Esmerelda-Nye county border areas, especially mitchelli-stephensi-lutosus contact zones and possible integradation/hybridization. If you're headed out this way hit us up and we may be able to scrounge up some manpower for cross-border survey efforts

I'm down for that... say when and where... Also...I'm continuing to try for Ca Regal Ringnecks in the Providence, Clark and Kingstons, if any of you Vegasites are interested... jims_stocking wrote:Hey, for those interested in hitting eastern/northern Mojave areas, don't forget us Vegasites- there is great interest here in the Mono-Inyo-Esmerelda-Nye county border areas, especially mitchelli-stephensi-lutosus contact zones and possible integradation/hybridization. Sure, I'm OK with that, but you'll have to ask FUNDAD! (Too many Brian's around here...)
