Is this an arroyo toad or just a plain ol' California toad? I found it in Pine Valley after the rain today.

Arroyo! The lightened anterior portion of the parotids gives it away.

I have to agree with the Arroyo Toad ID.
Usually California Toads have a very distinct and complete dorsal stripe that starts from between the eyes or well in front of them.
