Hi all,
I'm normally just herping in the north east, but we are planning a trip [to Arizona], of about a week, this September. Right now I'm just seeking any advice or leads and "dos" and "don'ts" for herping this area. We are hoping to spend a long enough time that we can stay in a hotel in Sedona for a few days and then also drive down to the sky islands (Chiricahua Mountains most probably) and most likely camp while we are there. Should we expect to find much in September in these areas? We are looking for relax a bit, but mostly we are wanting to spend the majority of the time herping and adventuring.
I know Sedona and the sky islands are pretty far from each other so any suggestions of stops in between would be appreciated. But also any tips for this area, in general? Your sage advice will be well-heeded. Thank you in advance.
