Thought this was really special until someone else recently posted one almost identical. Still pretty cool looking!
These next insects were found on a sunny February day with several inches of snow on the ground.
The snow had melted on the concrete a few inches from the building.
Not sure if the red looking one is the same family. Maybe someone out there knows?
Thought it was unusual for them to be out on such a cold day and in February!

Almost forgot about this which I think is caused by Carpenter Bees? They look a lot like the ordinary bumblebee but bore holes in wood. They also make you very nervous to have them flying all around you. Although I have heard they seldom sting.
There were a couple more holes on the other side of the cooler.
And finally I usually only see about one luna moth a year for some reason!
