Field guide for Yucatan trip?
Hello all, I'm looking for a field guide to pick up before my 2019 spring break (Late March/early April) trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, and I'll most likely be staying in Cancun to be more specific. The only reptile/amphibian field guide for that area that I could find I believe was published in 1998 titled, "Amphibians and Reptiles of Northern Guatemala, Yucatan, and Beliz" by Jonathan Campbell. If anybody could let me know their opinions on that book or recommend any others that aren't too expensive I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

If you can get out of Cancun to the countryside, the area is rich in herps, especially at night, and especially in the rainy season.
I've used A Field Guide to the Amphibians and Reptiles of the Maya World: The Lowlands of Mexico, Northern Guatemala and Belize successfully. It's a 2000 copyright, so some taxanomic naming may have changed, but it gets you most species.
ISBN-10: 0801485878
ISBN-13: 9780801485879
Pub. Date: 07/28/2000
Publisher: Cornell University Press
Used copies on Amazon can be as under $20
