Turtles

Post by t3ch »

I've been feeling nostalgic for my days as a kid growing up in kentucky playing with box turtles all the time. I've gone out looking a couple times mostly in the southeast region but no luck. Am I doing something wrong here? I've never actually went out just for turtles so i'm not an expert on finding them.

I think you need to be a little more specific as to where you're looking. You say southeast region, but are posting in the Rocky Mountain chapter. So does that mean the SE US or the SE part of a particular state? If you're in the SE US, you should be able to turn up turtles pretty easily.

I've found a few boxies in SE Colorado, they're hard to come by down there. Best advice I can give you is road cruising on hotter days in the morning or late afternoon.
