Found a bunch of these metamorphs at a pond near the river in Albuquerque. Any ideas?

Re: frog/toad ID needed
I guess for Spadefoot Toad (Spea bombifrons or S. multiplicata).

I'm not real good with toads but it doesn't look like a spadefoot to me.

probably not a spadefoot, it was coming from a permanent water source...

On the first pic, I can't see the parotoid glands of the Bufo/Anaxyrus genus... but in the other side, the eyes look more Bufo/Anaxyrus genus than Spea genus... I'm confused.Gordon C. Snelling wrote:Little red spotted perhaps??

Definitely looks bufid to me. Paratoid glands generally aren't very conspicuous in metamorphs. As I'm not familiar with the species that occur in your area I can't provide any help at that level.

Do you have a belly shot? Are you in range for red-spotted toads? That is what came to mind first.
