Ummm...I think those two gophers are making love not war. Was the top one "caressing" the bottom one with its head?
Re: Who Loves the Desert?
Definitely two males, the female was nearby under a rock.klawnskale wrote:Ummm...I think those two gophers are making love not war. Was the top one "caressing" the bottom one with its head?
As far as the speck, Lincoln Co NV. Look for it in Herp Review. DNA testing was required to determine mitchelli or stephensi.
Re: Who Loves the Desert?

You sure thats a saddled leafnose... Im no leafnose expert, but Ive seen my share...
I always thought a saddled leafnose looked more like this http://www.reptilesofaz.org/Snakes-Subp ... rowni.html
Either way, I love all the pics... nice post, as usual

Whoops. Let's make that spotted. I've only ever seen one saddled, in AZ this year. That's what I get for posting after dinner wine.

Great range of finds. What county was the taylori and was it the only one you found?
Re: Who Loves the Desert?
Tim
I Can't believe you told anybody about the UFOs. Yes, it was plural!! Nothing like I have ever seen before. I thought we were going to keep that to ourselves.
If I can ever get some time, I'm going to put up a post, I'm way behind.

Yeah, yeah. I quit listening when he started babbling about little green men and how it's bad to mix bacardi 151 and medical marijuana.Matt Cage wrote:told anybody about the UFOs. Yes, it was plural!! Nothing like I have ever seen before.

Great post! I love the desert. Love the collareds and the pits. I think its safe to talk about the UFO's as long as you leave out the story of the rectal probing!

Re: Who Loves the Desert?
Wow! You saw some amazing animals. The collared lizard was definitely my favorite. I'd freak out if I ever saw one in the wild. And the horned lizard blended in with the rocks so well. The horned lizard is the one that can bleed out of it's eyes right? How trippy would that be to see?
Re: Who Loves the Desert?
I love the desert... esp after this post. great looking pics. That Utah Cal King was a beauty, awesome assortment of Pits, and the taylori was cool to see.
