San Bernardino Desert Report - 6/1/2010

Post by keno0000000 »

Had to make a trek out to beautiful Bullhead City last week, so decided to try to do a little snake hunting along the way. Temps were high 70's. Ran across an adult Phyllorhynchus decurtatus - Spotted Leaf-nosed Snake, a few Coleonyx variegatus variegatus - Desert Banded Gecko's, an adult Chionactis occipitalis occipitalis - Mohave Shovel-nosed Snake, A young Crotalus cerastes cerastes - Mohave Desert Sidewinder, and a Gambelia wislizenii - Long-nosed Leopard Lizard.

Only got pics. of the sidewinder and leopard lizard, but hoping to get out tonight to do a little more so will make sure the camera is fully charged :)

Cheers.

Really nice leopard lizard. Did you bare-hand that guy or noose him?
