Costa Rica - June 2019 Report

Hello everyone,

My brother and I went to the Pacific side of Costa Rica earlier this year, and it by far exceeded our expectations! 25 species of snakes, and multiple species of lizards and amphibians. I would like to thank all who gave pointers when I reached out a couple months ago. You all know who you are!

Here is the link to my Flickr album for the trip - I figure it isn't necessary to upload it all again and just have it all in one place - it won't kill anyone.

Enjoy,

Nice one Jeff, a very successful trip! How many weeks did you spend in CR?

Looks like quite a satisfying trip.

Nice to see the Porthidium nasutum - they occupy a special place in my heart. Sweet little fatties.

cheers

I was there for 10 days total.

And yes, those Porthidium were at the top of my list of favorites!!

Very cool stuff.

It's cool to see some of the smaller, more obscure species of snakes.

Wow, it looks like you killed it! And your photos are real eye candy. I've been to CR a few times and still hoping to see a Pseustes, and some of the others you saw. Mind sharing some of the places you stayed at? It's always difficult to find places to herp at night.
