We got up early and the temps were good, so we started cruising for hognoses. This Turkey Vulture was making a meal of this raccoon:
I saw some rocks to flip, so I checked them out to find this lethargic snake:
Prairie Ring-necked Snake (Diadophis punctatus arnyi)
We returned to the site where I found the milk the day before to see if anything was there:
Central Plains Milksnake (Lampropeltis triangulum gentilis)
Plains Black-headed Snake (Tantilla nigriceps)
Prairie Racerunner (Aspidoscelis sexlineata viridis)
We cruised a little bit more:
Ornate Box Turtle (Terrapene ornata ornata)
We found another flip site and found this centipede:
Our van has seen cleaner days!
