CALL FOR ENTRIES: SWCHR CITIZEN SCIENTIST AWARD

SWCHR is proud to announce its second annual Jack Reid Memorial Citizen Scientist of the Year Award! This year we are happy to also offer a Junior category for up-and-coming citizen scientists under 18 years old.
Entrants must be current members of SWCHR (joining or renewing is $20; $10 for students/youth--www.southwesternherp.com/join.html). Additional consideration will be given to those entrants who were also 2018 members.

- Criteria are fairly open-ended. Entrants must explain why they are deserving of this award, to include listing achievements from January 1st through December 31st 2018. Examples include participation in bio-blitzes and other herp-related surveys and field work, contributions to herp databases (e.g. HerpMapper, NAHerp, iNaturalist, etc.), articles/papers published, collaboration with academic researchers, etc.

- Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 8th.

- Winners will be announced no later than Friday, March 29th.

- Winner in the Adult category will receive a $100 cash prize. Winner in the Junior category will receive a $50 cash prize.
