Post by Steve Atkins »

My family is planning a trip for next spring/early summer and I was wondering what you guys thought were the best regional field guides?

The Brennan and Holycross book is hands down the best field guide for Arizona herps in my opinion.

I second that comment.... A Field Guide to Amphibians and Reptiles in Arizona, Thomas C Brennan and Andrew T. Holycross.

Lizards of the Southwest. That is a great book too. It covers the entire Southwestern USA and a portion of Mexico. There is a picture of an Earless Lizard on the cover.
