Night Snake:

Post by Pets101 »

Has anybody come across Night Snakes in Ventura or Northern Los Angeles County? I ran into one today near Westlake Village. I have never seen one out this way before.

Nice find! That is a very unique looking individual. That zig-zag pattern is really cool!
Here is one I found awhile in that general area.

Thanks for sharing that photograph. They must just be a little more secretive than the other snakes in the area. Have you seen any zonata in that area?

Cool nightsnake! As Nick pointed out, that's an awful lot of awesome zipper pattern. That almost classifies as a stripe phase... or zipper phase :thumb:

Haha, I have found both a number of times in north los angeles county. Check out my post "a few herps from these last few months" for the night and my instagram @huck_triggsphoto for the zonata.
