New York salamander ID help

Post by sjfriend »

Had to.make a quick trip to central New York for a family emergency. Was able to get outside for a bit and found a few salamanders (5, all same species by looks). Being a west coast guy I have no idea what I'm looking at. So, some ID help would be appreciated.

They were found under rocks alongside a temporary water hole.
