SoCal Lizard ID

Post by Misenus »

Photographed at dusk in the Anza-Borrego Desert on May 1st, just east of the mountains. I assume it's a juvenile, but I can't find any pics on CA Herps that look like it.

P.S. What happened to the separate threads for all the regional NAFHA chapters?

Hey Patrick. I too have no idea what happened to all the regional NAFHA chapters.
Your lizard is a juvenile Side blotched lizard (uta stansburiana) and a very pretty one at that!
All the best,
Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy. I eventually found the post explaining why the NAFHA threads were merged. Not thrilled about it, but at least the posts are still there.
