It is an extremely entertaining book! I think of my copy as a perpetual Christmas present.

Still waiting for the followup Borneo tome...

Thank you, John! Borneo tome coming up in, uh, a few years. Still stuck in Chapter Two :-)

Thank you too, Zach! I'm making good progress, actually. We're back in Northern Taiwan for two months, since Malaysia observes school holidays now, and the place where I live, as magically beautiful as it is, in winter it's the worst rain hole in an already very wet country. No herping, no hiking, and a constant battle with trench foot :) So all there is to do, really, is write.

PS: To be fair, during the rare sunny moments, the view from my office makes up for all the rest. YMS National Park is to the right (10 minutes by scooter), the ocean to the left (15 minutes on foot). Pity you can't hear the cries of the Crested Serpent Eagles that swoosh by my window once in a while...

I just ordered the book Hans, looking forward to reading it! By the way, any snakes out there in Taiwan?

Thank you very much for your patronage!! Northern Taiwan, where I am now, is a tad cold now, only bamboo vipers (Viridovipera steijnegeri) are still out and about. But I saw my first Grey-capped (Pygmy) Woodpecker yesterday in the Central Mountains, so not all is lost :)

Thanks again!

Cheers
