Planning a trip to PA or any nearby state really. I live on long island. What area of PA do you recommend? Northeast, southeast, etc (not looking for specific places). Where am i going to find the most diversity? Was also considering the nj pine barrens. Id like to stay within 250 miles of NYC but in reality a little closer.

Do the Pine Barrens. There's some cool stuff in PA too, but it's a lot more spread out. There are many species in the Pines that you won't see in PA or NY.
