Completely Spotless Spotted Salamander

I have seen many Spotted Salamanders that were nearly spotless. This is the first time i've seen one that is completely spotless.

They are common in SE MO swamps, but they are a darker color than the one you posted here.

I think they are found but still very few are ever posted.

Here is one I found about 10 years ago. Which I believe was my first pic posted here on the forum!

We check our pond every year but this one or one like it have never been seen since!

Still an awesome find!

Great find and photo SAGlines. I have seen a few like that here in KY, but they represent a small percentage of the overall typical encounter.
