Request for some animals....

Post by Berkeley Boone »

Hey yall-
I am working on putting together an exhibit on invasive exotics in the children's classroom at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Would any of you folks down in Florida be willing to catch and send me some Cuban treefrogs or brown anoles? I may even be interested in a day gecko or two (I know they aren't invasive though- but they are colorful and kids like color). I'm just looking for smallish stuff- the tank is only like 45 gallons or so (36w x 14l x 26h), so no knight anoles or agamas or anything like that.

I don't really have a budget for this piece of work, so I am hoping someone would be able to donate the critters. Please let me know if I can answer any questions.

Scott, if this is not allowed, please feel free to remove it and accept my apologies.

What city are you in? I might be interested in bringing you some anoles.

I'm in Athens, Bree. If you are heading up this way, that would be awesome. I'd be glad to host you around town, or if you aren't coming up quite this far, I could probably meet you somewhere along the way.

I'm driving to Okeefenokee tomorrow, but don't know what I can round up by then, or if you'd even be available.

Aw dang! No, I wouldn't be able to meet tomorrow unfortunately.

Thanks for considering. I'm just starting work on the exhibit though, so I have some time before I will need to fill it. Perhaps in the next few weeks or so if our paths are close to crossing we could meet up.

Hey Berkeley. I may be heading to Athens on the weekend of the 13th (February). If you still need the Cubans, let me know. I'll see what I can gather since I've got both hanging around my house.

Jake, I've got a garnotii for him, maybe you could pick up if it's convenient to take with you to Athens. If not, no biggie.
