Re: These are becoming everyday
I'm surprised they have not been counted as one of our natives and given SSC status. They have found multiple specimens right?

Re: caly-sea-snakes
jaja whats not to love about global warming eh ? I've pondered why Pelamis has'nt entered the gulf of california, its surely warm enough for them, then we zonies could have a 3'rd elapid w/in 50 miles of the border anyway ...

I am not sure how the CDFW handles part time visitors. Sea Snakes, unlike the land versions travel long distances.I'm surprised they have not been counted as one of our natives and given SSC status. They have found multiple specimens right?
I don't think they manage part time bird visitors either.

The State does manage migrant bird species and there are many that have been given various State special status designations.I don't think they manage part time bird visitors either.
Do Pelamis have any special status/protection federally or otherwise, as far as anyone knows?

It's pretty clean cut with birds via the MBTA but like bajas these things are "visitors" hence my humor. If one makes it from the beach to the parking lot all bets are offI am not sure how the CDFW handles part time visitors. Sea Snakes, unlike the land versions travel long distances.
