Whatsup everyone, I haven't posted on here in a while in fact I think my last post was in 2013. I've just been busy with work and haven't got out in the field as much as I would have liked. I've mostly been in CA but managed to make an AZ trip this year and last. Im living in LA area now but am planning to move to AZ next year permanently. So hopefully starting next year I will have more time to herp and be in my favorite place to do it. Ok so here we go, I
m still too broke for a great camera so my pics aren't amazing but they're decent. I guess I should've adjusted the size on these but I suck at all this and don't have time to redo this post. I'm going to separate this post by state. I'll start with my CA finds.
First find of the year my non-herper friends found it thought it was a worm and tossed it on the ground. I was like WTF!? I pointed out there mistake and showed them it was a slender salamander.

This was in the Mojave Desert i didn't think Sopacs ranged this far east but thats what I'm going with Southern Pacific Rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus helleri) Mojave Desert, CA

Now on to the Arizona pics....
I figured I'd start this section with one of my favorites. I went down to the Huachucas for a day and a half and with someone who knew where to go happened to find the species I wanted to see most down there. The banded rock rattlesnake! This was a really blue looking snake a friend of mine got one shot where it really captures the blue. Here was my shot though.
