Last night just after sunset after just over a year and a half of searching, ANF threw me a bone and gave up my #1 target for the area.

Year = made. Elation would be an understatement.

We tried for one of these, in that general area, in March. Got a pine instead. Didn't realize the moles were so difficult there!

Great find, it's a gorgeous animal. I'm a wee bit jealous, being a calligaster nut.

I'm kind of shocked you didn't throw it on the road and run it over. Isn't that what you do with most of the other snakes you find?

It's an inside joke. He finds a lot of roadkill. I accuse him of running them all over.

Josh only runs over Corn snakes. Him and them have a past as checkered as the animals' bellies.

Btw, Nice find!

Wow, that's a purty Corn Snake...I've never seen one that's quite that red everywhere. Course, I'm a kingsnake guy, so I don't know much about all them Corn morphs... ;) Now, if it was a king of some kind I could name it real quick...I'm like a "mole" that way, I dig up info... 8-)

Are these rare or Hubbscommon? Can anyone expound on the issue?
