Re: Monitor Disguised as a Tokay... What do you think?
Its got to be a fake but its a well done one. I'm no expert but the tail looks a little off to me, too long and thin for a tokay maybe? I don't know about the monitor disguised as a tokay, even the toes look right. If I had to come up with some sort of explanation I'd say digital editing/superimposing of a gecko ontop of a actual monitor or small crocodile that the guy is messing around with.

I've seen this before and one of the comments in that post seemed to be from an insider who admitted it was fake but I cant remember in what way or how. I have seen some monster tokays in Thailand and my brother who has lived there for 20+ years says that the 'monsters' I have seen are tiddlers compared to some (though he is prone to exaggeration).

I swear I cant stand people for the crap they do with animals so much I can taste my own spleen.

This is probably the same creature, but with its long tail, before cutting it town to match to suite to the top video. (??)
Re: Monitor Disguised as a Tokay... What do you think?
Very interesting , if you look at its feet , it does have the feet of a gecko , and it feet resembles that of the chinese giant salamander , and its head and body does as well. If you look at the beginning it shakes its head like its trying to through something off its head just as the video above my reply clearly has a mask or something on its head. What do you guys think?
Re: Monitor Disguised as a Tokay... What do you think?
Also its tail at the beginning curls up , like a tree monitor , could be a tree monitor in disguise

Thor's post say's it all, case closed, these guys are fools dressing monitors up as geckos. there are signs everywhere.. they are liars. And their mommy can't feel ashamed for them, cause she is likely the one that did the sowing for the lizard's costume.
Re: Monitor Disguised as a Tokay... What do you think?
They are worse than Liars. They are bullying Creeps. If one of them gets a nasty bite they sure deserve it.

I am always amazed at how many different ways humans and their cultures have come up with ways to mess with animals. It is also quite sad.
