Door County, WI herping

Post by shatty »

Hi,

I'll be visiting Door County from July 7th to July 14th this year. Ive been there a few times and only seen garter snakes and some DOR Fox snakes. Id really like to find some snakes this trip. Id be happy seeing just about anything and getting some pics. If anybody would like to herp with me while Im in town or show me around, it would be much appreciated. I laid out some boards and some pieces of carpet behind my dads property last year before I left...A few days ago I told my dad to go flip a couple of them...well he did...and this is what he found...

I hope its still there when I come next month!....but Im not getting my hopes up too much

Thanks for reading

just drive around and flip as many rocks as you can. rocks are everywhere. morning is probably best for flipping. flipping in the rain is a good idea as well.

wear gloves and watch out for widows.
