Figured its been long enough and I am over do for a post. 2015 has been good for me so far.
I started this year visiting Florida with some herping buddies, and was later joined by my girl friend to relax in the keys.
We hit the mountains on Tennesee along the way and turned up a Aneides.
Once in Florida we were quick to get to work. Nice Palm Beach county King.
We were treated to the Highlands by some cool fossorial species.
The trips theme was "Islands and Highlands" and we soon headed south to the keys to fulfill the island requirement.
Once back home in the mid west it was too cold to see anything other then a few caudate species.
A month or so later and the late winter/early spring rains came ushering in a plethora of amphibians and the start of the herp season here in Illinois and
Missouri. Crawfish frogs were out in force, followed by Ambystoma.
As the days got longer and the temperatures rose the snakes came.
Crayfish snakes are neat little natricines.
Dusky Salamander
La Rue cotton
Im just as confused about an eastern box turtle on a sand prairie as you are.
and ill finish with an opossum, because I like Opossums.
Thanks for looking guys, ill check back in later this year.
