Snakes So Far (Mostly Florida)

Post by Noah M »

Here is a brief collection of living snakes I've seen so far this year. All of them are from Florida, unless otherwise noted. Many thanks to everybody who has helped.

A pair of Florida Cottonmouths, and an unfortunate circumstance for the little one. They were near each other on the road, and I moved them next to each other for the picture, and the big one apparently didn't like the little one, and... :( So don't be dumb like me and try to get a two for one deal with cottonmouths.

Yellow Rat Snake

These two are from Indiana

And I thought I would throw this one in, even though it isn't a snake (Found in Florida).

Thanks for looking!

Nice photos! That water snake looks stubby on both ends.

Yup. And had I known that was gonna happen I would have kept them separated. They were only about 10' apart when I cruised up on them.

They should be ok. I've seen rattlesnakes bite other rattlesnakes and their selves.
