Phoenix area

Post by frostior »

Hi, I plan to arrive in Phoenix area in early June.
Is it a good time for herping?
I am thinking to find some sidewinders.
Does someone have similar plans?

How early in June will you be here? It looks like the full moon will be on the 3rd. Which means road cruising won't be very productive until probably the 6th or so. Fortunately for you winders are one of our easiest snakes to find. And they can usually be found in good numbers. Look in the flats south or west of Phoenix and you shouldn't have any problems finding your target. Also, if you plan on posing anything for photos you should get a hunting license. Good luck, and stay safe.
