Flipped a rock on the edge of some great habitat, near a residential area. Was quite surprised by what I found under it.
Wait...do you see what I see inside of that egg?
I looked around to try to figure out if I was on hidden camera or something, then realized that Easter was a good 2.5 weeks ago and whoever this egg belonged to had lost it long ago and it was up for the taking.
Profitable flip!
Here's a little bit else I saw on the hike.

Jonathan:
Could the Easter Egg filled with candy and money possibly been a geocache? It is not uncommon to run into them while herping.

Re: Easter Egg
Don't geocache containers usually have a list of names and dates showing who has been through that area and when?
Re: Easter Egg
I've found half-a-dozen or so geocaches while herping. This looked nothing like them.klawnskale wrote:Jonathan:

Let's look at the evidence:
* The container was a plastic Easter egg
* It was found 3 weeks after Easter
* It contained a dollar bill and Easter candy
* It contained no information or trinkets of any kind
* There was no container besides an Easter egg
* It was close to a residential area
Yup, I believe that "geocache" fails Occum's Razor in this case.
