senior project a success

Post by axeman2729 » March 23rd, 2015, 5:22 am

Last Saturday, I presented my senior project on reptiles and amphibians both native and exotics. it was a complete success!!!! 47 people came! I touched on many topics including the differences between reptiles and amphibians, the different types of them, why they are important (specificly how they are environmental indicators and how researchers are using axolotls for regeneration research, several common native species, what an exotic is the benefits and dangers of keeping exotics and then two common species that are kept. Will post pictures soon.

Very nice!

Did you have to follow any criteria for your project such as "it must provide a community service," "you must see yourself doing this in your future," or something else along those lines?

its basically to do something to contribute to the community it has to be a total of 20 hours or more including all the stuff you have to do to get ready

Late congratulations. :thumb: :thumb:

As a side, when a herper presents these animals in a positive light in a group presentation, he/she never knows the long term positive effect on some individuals, and for the herps as a group.

Good job.

He reached and inspired generations of people. I'm glad to hear your project was a success. It is always nice to see herps presented in a positive light, and not just cute turtles.
