Trip to NW Georgia...Salmanders!!

Post by Daniel D Dye »

My son, Michael and I drove off from the farm Thursday night, March 12th, for a straight through drive to NW Georgia. We met Ashley Tubbs and Justin Oguni Friday morning and began our search for sallies. The weather was not ideal, but we still searched on through the wind and rain...Oh, and it was cold! We found all the targets and decided to drive down to SE Georgia to meet with Dale Wilson for a couple days in the swamp. It was an awesome trip with some excellent company!

Thanks, Berkeley. Justin is great to be around no doubt.
I've been on the mountain several times and have found petraeus, so I didn't take any photos on this trip. Maybe Ashley or Justin will post a photo. In the meantime, here's one being stalked by a Ringneck Snake from a few years ago.

Great photos Daniel. It seems like this is a popular time of the year to head to the mountains.
