Your favorite find of the month - September 2014

Post by incuhead2000 »

So the air is getting cooler, and herping season is starting to wind down here in the Northeast. I hope everyone was able to squeeze in some herping in September, I know I sure did. I headed to New Jersey and scored this awesome Coastal (Eastern, LTExT, whatever you wanna call it) Milksnake! Show off your favorite September find in this thread here!

I flipped this yearling Eastern Hognose Snake on a bliss Sunday afternoon in Southern New Jersey. My second Hognose found in NJ this year!

I'm not sure if I can post anything that can top anything already posted in this thread.

This hatchling Common Snapper has to be one of the cutest things I saw in September!

I love those little panda turtles. Overall, we were lacking in the baby turtle department, but the ones we did see were adorable.

I didn't spend enough time around water this year, I think I only saw 3 or 4 snappers this year! Super depressing for me because they are one of my favorite turtles!

I will go with this Mudsnake I cruised near Outer Banks, NC. Funny, the people down there don't find them often, but Bob and I in the course of a few weeks each found one. Not something I expected to find, but Pennsylvania represented well down there!

Sad to hear about the sick snappers :( Any idea what is going on there? I found a spot near me which seemed to be a snapper graveyard, about 4 individuals dead in a section of stagnant C & O canal.
