Lifer Kopsteins, 4th Blue Coral, and a selfie (VIDEO now)

Post by LouB747 »

Another successful trip to Singapore. First off, Painted Bronzeback. As found.
Image
My fourth Blue Coral Snake. By far my favorite snake. I was only able to watch this one for a few minutes before he went under some leaf litter. Only a few quick shots. Took mostly video. It was too short of an encounter! As found.
Image
Actually not the brightest blue I've seen. Maybe he was "in the blue".
Image
My second Waglers Pit Viper. Another female. As found.

I decided to use the GoPro with a pole to get a shot from above. Not the crispest shot, but I like the angle.
Image
That lead to a "selfie". Holding the GoPole, using iphone WiFi to view image and click the shutter.
Image
Found this super sweet looking Kopsteins Bronzeback. A LIFER for me.
Image
Such a beautiful snake. Took a lot of video. Amazing to watch the snake puff up to show it's colors.
Image
And lastly a bit of green.

While common, these guys never get old.

Putting another video together. Haven't had time to look at the footage yet. Hopefully it'll be better than the pics.

Thanks guys. Funny thing, before I was into snakes, I used to fly for an airline that went just about everywhere. Africa, South America, Australia, Europe. Now it's just Tokyo, with the occasional Singapore trip.

Kopstein are very beautiful snakes and too fast to get away to get good pics. Nice snake all :)

Amazing colours! Especially Waglers viper pops out! Also like the creative angle of the selfie shot ;)

Liked your last video a lot! I'm curious for another video and the shots you made.

With all the best,

Tim

The first picture of the Wagler's looks like a caricature to me, with an exaggerated head. The second and third pictures confirmed that, no indeed it just has a large head! What an awesome looking animal.

Video finished. YouTube didn't like the music I chose for the opening and closing segments. It's a little strange without the music. Anyways, it's about 30 mins long. All the above snakes. Hope you like it.
