Hey guys,
An interesting snake photo showed up on my blog feed today and I was pretty stumped with the ID.
I contacted the photographer who stated it was from South Florida (The Everglades):
Invasive? The head reminds me of an anaconda (most likely not one)!
Any ideas?

Brown water snake.
Re: Everglades snake ID Request
Thanks, guys!
As a West-coaster, I have yet to encounter any Nerodia, so my guesses were WAY off!

Zach:
It's hard to believe that a very skilled and avid herper such as yourself has yet to spot a Nerodia in Nothern California. There are two well established invasive populations east of you existing in the Roseville area and Folsom Lake. Check out this site:

Everybody loves to be right but Justin is uncommonly honest about it!
