To keep things a little more interesting here I'm going to start a monthly thread so everyone can share their favorite monthly find/photo here. Include a story if you like as to why that is your favorite find/photo. Things have finally warmed up and May has been kind to may of us as herpers, and really kind to the amphibians for all that rain!
I have a few spots that tend to pay off every year for hoggies, this one was a new one for me to find and also very beautiful. Easily one of my favorite finds in May.
So what was your favorite herp find of May and why was it your favorite?

Re: Your favorite find of the month - May 2014
My favorite...and pretty much only find...was a Broad Head Skink (that's actually what brought me here!) Sorry, no pics though.
My Wife and I were at a local park Memorial Day weekend. On our way out She had to stop for a bio-break so I waited outside with the dogs.
I hear a slight rustling of leaves behind me and turn around to see this fat little "lizard-looking" thing, lime green with an orange-ish head.
He/She was just taking it's time roaming around and didn't seem too bothered by me just a few feet away. By the time my Wife came back out the little critter was
still roaming around.
We've seen quite a few blue-tailed and (I believe) common five-lined skinks around the house, but never one like that orange-headed beauty!
A Google image search brought me here, now yer' stuck with me...

chrisr- That was a really good video. I can't believe you managed to observe so many snakes displaying mating behavior in one day. Really awesome filming, too. Very peaceful throughout the whole video.

Nice pic and video!
Incuhead2000- that has got to be the coolest snake I've ever seen!
My favorite find in May was a fence lizard we found while taking a hike in the pine barrens with my kids. My 12 year old son spotted it and I caught it. All four of my kids gathered around checking it out all excited. We saw a few other frogs but they just kept talking about that lizard.
Anything that gets my kids excited about nature and the outdoors is good with me!

Glad you like the video. Yea Jake, I like the peaceful aspect that using a tripod can produce.
Here is another peaceful vid from the same location from May of last year:
