I deceided to get out more shoot more photo's.
Nick and Myself Headed out the other day for a couple actually.
Some photo's , some snakes and some good times.
This is almost more so an editorial with a collection of images than just the animals we encountered along the way.
It's pretty cool what you can achieve by looking at the smaller things and giving them some attention.
Arriving in the dark has it's perks about 100 meters from the Mozambique Border.

Amietophrynus garmani - Eastern olive toad.
Arthroleptis wahlbergii - Bush Squeeker
Bitis arietans - Puff Adder.
Absolutely minute smallest one i have ever seen.
Philothamnus natelnsis natelnsis - Eastern Natal Green Snake

Psammophis mossambicus - Olive Grass Snake -
Chiromantis xerampelina - Foam Nest Frog.
One of my personal favourite species.
Dipsadoboa aulica - Marbled tree snake.
Dispholidus typus - Bloomslang.

Naja annulifera - Snouted Cobra.

We lost count of the amount of these we saw dead.
Psammophis mossambicus - Olive Grass Snake.
Naja melanoleuca - Forest Cobra.

Kinixys belliana - Bell's hinge-back tortoise
Pyxicephalus edulis - African Bull Frog.
Funny thing i literally said to Nick that we hadn't seen any of these frogs in the last three or four trips up north.
Ten minutes later we were driving along a sandy road and saw probably about 200 all over the road. Al about the size of a 20c coin.
Tomopterna krugerensis - knocking sand frog.
Thought this cat could use some water.
