The shots of your "big timber" are the same shots as the little timber.

He didn't say it was a "big timber". And they are two different snakes. Great stuff Barry! Makes me wish I still lived in Illinois.

How on earth did you get that map turtle shot? It is amazing! Did you have to sit in a blind for three days? The maps I have seen are always going into the water, not coming out!
Of course the timbers are lovely, but I really really love the Dekay. And the beautiful boxy.
Still jealous of the hognose.
Awesome post, BR.

Re: Fall Herping
psyon, they are two Timbers....
Timber #1

ThamnElegans24, thanks! S. IL. is blessed with herp diversity and habitat.
Tamara, thanks! I got the map turtle shot the same way I got the otter pics last year.
Stand in weeds nearly as tall as you are and move as little as possible.
Sam, I'm not sure just what that was, I didn't get that close. It was good to see
a young one though.

The smaller timber clearly has a meal, and the larger one obviously does not. Also note the differences in buttons on the rattle. Your statement is incorrect.psyon wrote:The shots of your "big timber" are the same shots as the little timber.
