Wow! Azemiops! Now there's something you don't see on FHF very often - spectacular animal.
Re: Yunnan herping 2013
Incredible - I'd love to hear the stories behind the Azemiops and the rhino ratsnake...!
Re: Yunnan herping 2013
WOW! Some great pics of some amazing snakes! The Azemiops is a mind-blower as is the Rhynchophis...I too would love to hear the story on the Azemiops. Also, was the Ovophis shedding as you watched?

Re: Yunnan herping 2013
What elevation did you find the Azemiops?
Re: Yunnan herping 2013
Incredible, it just kept getting better and those 3 vipers at the end were the cherry on top.
Re: Yunnan herping 2013
Agreed, a live Azemiops and the other vipers were fantastic. Thanks for showing us your finds.Antonsrkn wrote:Incredible, it just kept getting better and those 3 vipers at the end were the cherry on top.

Re: Yunnan herping 2013
Best post of the year. Alien stuff par excellence. The surprise just kept coming, and I wasn't able to ID a single one of them. Rhadinophis prasinum is a stunner!
Why "Dinodon (Lycodon)"? ID not clear?
PS: Only ONE photo of the jerdonii??

Based on the latest article the two genus actually are one, but since it is still a controversy topic, so I just put both two names there.
Sadly I only took few shots for jerdonii, and that's the best one among them
