Does not work for me. I thought it was just my computer being silly.

It worked for me. Go to the members tab next to the user control panel tab, the do then search to whatever complexity you like.

I can search from the choices at the bottom of the page, but the alphabetical selection at the top has not worked for me for over two years now. Art

The "user name begins with" tab has not worked for me for a couple of years.

Yes, this is what im talking about. It doesnt seem to work. May not be a big deal, but also it may be that no one knows its broken. Everyone thinks its their computer and just moves on.

Looks like one of the updates to phpBB broke it. Given that the authors of phpBB aren't addressing it as a bug, it looks like they removed the feature since their default templates didn't use it. You can click on the Find Member link on the right side, and search for a* or b* or what ever letter then * you want to get users that start with it.
