WOW!! Epic beyond anything. Thanks regalringneck for posting this. THat Jaguar absolutely owned that croc. What great pics and timing (Justin Black) to capture this moment in nature.

Wow thanks for that! I remember on an old Disney amazon nature special that had a Black Jaguar taking a Caiman. I vaguely remember the cat drowned it (patiently) with one paw!

WOW! That is so wild! I wish I was the photographer that got to experience that and take those photos! Unbelievable, and the jaguar looks fairly healthy and not desperate for a meal.... I wonder if this jaguar does this "often."

I spent some time in that same area last year. All of the jaguars from that area are larger than the norm. Their prey is almost exclusively caiman and capybara according to the biologist at the site. I was able to see 3 jaguar in 2 days. Pretty spectacular area.

Very cool grunion and even more impressive is 1) his right eye is damaged and 2) he's dragging a big crocodilian Back into the water before it is dead...that is mucho hombre kitty.
