I swear I thought it was a Green Snake! I was like well I guess it could be a racer, I've never seen one like that but it doesn't mean they don't exist. I figured you knew the difference... I guess you got me... It wasn't close enough for me to see head scales and disagree, but I honestly did scrutinize the picture.

If you look past the tiny weeds it looks just like a racer or even a central american coachwhip, except for the large scales I guess. Down in Panama the coachwhips are tan coloured just like that. I have always wanted to see a Smooth Green of this color phase in Ontario but as far as I can tell they aren't here.

What does this even mean? This is an oxymoron.

There are no trash herps only vacuous avatars.

tim, this one was darker than the ones you have gotten at that one spot. it was more brown than tan. slight olive color but more brown. north central marinette county.

it is cool how similar but yet different they are. they both hunt by eyesight but yet have different prey items. i'm sure due to their size. this particular snake rattled it's tail in a rolling pigmy-type fashion. first time seeing this.

hell, let's just do a DNA analysis and start a giant controversy on taxonomy.
