Hog from Central IL

Hard to believe a snake like this could be found in Illinois.

Very nice hog. I found a red phase not too long ago in East Texas.

If you don't mind me asking, can I get a habitat shot. I have a good spot down the road from me, that has good looking hogs. I walk my dog past it all the time. So I have an idea of what that population likes. Would be nice to see what kind of land you're seeing them on. Do you live in Illinois? I'm just south of Peoria.

Sorry for the slow response Justin, I do not have any habitat shots and have not been to the park where the snake was caught and released. It was brought in to show the U of I herpetology class. I do know however that it was sandy oak woods with small vernal pools.
