How do you say goodbye to a herper?

Post by Warren »

Fishermen sometimes end letters by saying "tight lines!"

What kind of valediction can herpers use?

Heavy hooks? I'd love to hear your ideas!

One never says goodbye. "Hasta la huego" should do the trick. It works in the SW. In the south, we say, "Come back and see us." They usually do!

Would the equivalent be "bulging sacks"? I hope not.

I usually end my emails with either, "happy herping," or something like, "keep your eye on the sharp end." Most of my friends are crote guys, though, so it's force of habit to end conversations with friendly warnings. I think, "happy herping," is probably the most common one I see.

TX' governor is a snake oil salesman to whom I'm hoping the good people here will say "Adios, Mofo!" when his current term in office is up. Does that count?
