Some of the best finds and pictures I have ever seen you have 3 of some of my favorite species there the American Crocodile, Red Eye Tree Frog, and the Eyelash Viper. Great work!
Re: Central American Sampler
Great stuff! Especially love that second Stenorrhina (or is that the same snake after shed?)...simply gorgeous!
Re: Central American Sampler
Love the aracari. That toucan group of birds are favorites of mine. Saw a pair of these buggers raiding a cavity nest (or so it seemed) while in La Selva.
Re: Central American Sampler
Looks like you've had an awesome adventure. Fantastic photos to boot.

Excellent post. Your shots are top notch as well. Definitely looking forward to seeing more!
Re: Central American Sampler
Stellar photography! Your lighting is something special. What equipment do you use?
I think the moth and howler monkeys may have been my favorite shots actually.

Another stunning example of the superb photography that shows up on this forum, and the bar just seems to get higher. Wow, hard work and phenomonal yield.

Re: Central American Sampler
Great post all around, but I'm digging the Pseustes!
Any other pics of that snake? It looks pretty red...

Re: Central American Sampler
Hey thanks Everyone for all the kind words and for taking a look.
Its a different snake, much bigger than the 1st one. I practically had to kneel ontop of it in the jungle at night before I saw it. I had a hard time believing it was the same species, it wrapped around my hand and was a strong snake but never tried to bite or musk.Especially love that second Stenorrhina (or is that the same snake after shed?)
Yeah I really like the toucan group too, the work I did involved trapping and tagging both Keel Billed toucans and Collared Aracaris. Both fun birds to work with.Love the aracari. That toucan group of birds are favorites of mine. Saw a pair of these buggers raiding a cavity nest (or so it seemed) while in La Selva
Unfortunately no more photos, all the psuestes seen in the area I was in where very red like that. I didnt see any more myself but I have seen other peoples photos and since been sent a few from there, and many seemed to be like that.Any other pics of that snake? It looks pretty red...

Lovely shots of a host of creatures. That shield bug was incredible! The tropics have so many strange and wonderful animals.
