Post by Daniel D Dye »

Use this thread for Nominations for Southeast Chapter Secretary. Officers must be contributing members of NAHERP and the Southeast Chapter of NAFHA.

Secretary:
Shall maintain the non-financial business records, shall record minutes of all chapter meetings, shall maintain a journal of these minutes, recording them in a timely manner and making them available to all members of the chapter, and in the absence of the President and Vice-president, may assume the duties of conducting a scheduled meeting.

For additional information on the office, see bylaws here: http://www.nafha.org/bylaws

Only President, Vice President, Secretary and an additional International Board Member will be nominated for 2014.

Forgive the faux pas, but if Beth is over 18, I second.

Thanks for the consideration Beth. We'll wait.

To all:
A change to the bylaws last year that makes this an elected or appointed post, as needed, so I would like to propose the new Pres decide if we need a secretary.

Chapters shall be managed by an elected Chapter Board of Directors consisting of a President and Vice President. If the chapter deems it necessary, a Secretary, Conservation Officer and Education Officer may be elected and/or appointed. The Chapter Board of Directors may also appoint regional Vice Presidents, Conservation Specialists and Education Specialists, or other offices, to represent the Chapter in specific geographical areas within the chapter that require official representation to conduct educational programs, field surveys, organized field outings and other official NAFHA functions.

Thanks for the bylaws link Bill. With all our changes over the years, I think it should be a sticky for newcomers.(Love the changes, it's our awesome recruiting skills on FHF. I stopped looking to see FHF's newest member. I'm probably not the only one. ).
Also, I'll do whatever I need to do for our chapter in 2014. Yet I Can't go to the 2014 national. Probably make atleast one SEC meeting if less than seven hours away. So I might not have the time to hold any officer position even secretary. I'm taking 2-4 classes all 3 semesters next year-so I'll be just as active and dedicated, just stuck in Madison county mostly.

I'm sure the new officers will conspire and consult to have some SE outings within your range, Sam.
